going forwards I'll probably start exporting all my songs as .wav first and foremost, then downscale to mp3 for my personal uses, as my prior use of mp3s means I'll have to re-render any songs I want to upload over on Bandcamp. I have several compilation releases I want to create eventually, but those tracks will all have to be re-rendered for that, hence the decision. this won't affect export quality over here on NG, nor will it mess with any of my existing songs, although I've considered improving the mixing on older tracks, especially ones from that late 2023 - early 2024 period where I realized I could remove the limiter but did not realize why that was a bad idea (prior to using a compressor instead, which is better for me)

if there are any specific old tracks that any of you want to have improved mixing sooner than others, do let me know!
